Hi there,

I made winery knife for competition KNIFE Award 2024 Solingen in February. Theme was Tradition 2.0 and I recognized to create this tool beacuse winery is tradition of my region, my village and my family. So I try inserted these three aspects to the knife.

First aspect - the region, was historical template from open air museum in town of Strážnice.
Second is the shape of the intarsion - it is the plough which you can find on the old seal of our village from the 17th century where is the plough with winery knife together.
And third is the wood from old agate wine barell which was made by my kindred named Sochor. He was cooper and three circles was sign od his workshop. I kept this sign on the top of the box.

So blade is forged from czechoslovakian steel and partial hardenned and scales are from stainless steel. There are bronze washers and stop pin and rivets are hidden. It is slipjoint folding knife.

It was realky great experience to participate in the competition in Solingen. I'm looking forward to next year!

Ah ouais ! C'est pas la serpette de tout le monde ! Beau boulot.

C'est bien une serpette pour cueillir les grappes ?

Thank you! In the past, the knife was used for most of the work in the vineyard throughout the year. For harvesting of grapes too. Today we used shears :)

Hello guys and ladies of course,

today I finished small slipjoint folding knife with buxus wood on scales. Blade is forged from czechoslovakian equivalent of W2 steel and partial hardenned. It is really light knife for every day carry. If anybody want this small wasp's sting that it is still for sale!

Hello my dears,

after longer time I am back there with the new knife from my workshop.

Is it small scandinavian type of knife with blade from the carbon damascus forgewelded by me. The guard is from antler and on the handle I used small piece of exotic wood from Indonesia. Friend bring it me and he called it Red Colabh. The second wood is root of elderberry.
Scandi sheath is from cowhide leather with leather inserts in blade part. Colored and impregnated by bees wax.
Blade 10 cm (3 mm strong in back) and handle 12 cm.

Knife is for sale!

Hello,

before the Christmas I want to offer you some fixed, hand-forged knives from my workshop. They all are really simple functional tools with the woods from ny country (one with buck antler) and with partial hardenned blades. Leather hand-sewn sheaths are included. If you want to get one of these knives under the Christmas tree, it is good time to order

Thank you for watching and writing and I wish you all blessed holiday season! :czn:

After season of fixed knives I made one slipjoint with corkscrew for everybody who love wine. So I live in South Moravia region and I have small vineyard which was planted by my grandfather that for me the wine is personal relationship

But there is the knife! Damascus blade forged by my hands and the powerhammer, buxus wood on the scales with inlay from the horn. Overall lenght is 25,5 cm from which blade is 11,5 long and 3,5 thick in the back. Bronze washers and sto pin are obvious equipment of my knives. I will sew leather sheath for this piece, so if somebody like it, write me.

Thanks!

Thank you! So I'm glad to read that somebody know and tasted Moravian wines. So there are so many people makes their own wines, but I know that winemaking in France has a much longer tradition. Small production of family is about only 300 liters per year.
